Fresh aromas of red berry fruits with delicate undertones of flowers. The taste is fresh and round with fragrant fruit notes, light tannins and a mineral and savoury finish.

GRAPES 22% Cabernet Sauvignon - 33% Merlot - 45% Sangiovese.

GRAPE ORIGIN / ALTITUDE Avignonesi estates located in the Montepulciano DOCG production area.

EXPOSURE Variable, depending on each single vineyard.

SOIL TYPE Clay rich soils of Pleistocenic origin at Le Capezzine, and Matracchio, and of Pliocenic origin at Greppo, I Poggetti, Le Badelle, Banditella and El Grasso.

AGE OF THE VINES From 10 to 27 years.

TRAINING SYSTEM / VINE DENSITY Bush-trained, guyot and cordon-trained. Da 2,564 a 7,158 plants per hectare (from 1,068 to 2,982 plants per acre).

HARVEST The grapes were picked in September.

VINIFICATION Alcoholic fermentation with use of indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks with a short (partly carbonic) maceration time. The malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks.

FINING In stainless steel tanks after the harvest until January.

ALCOHOL 13%

TOTAL PRODUCTION 26,000 bottles.
